If you have been given a sling, use it to keep your injured area elevated. Keep your injured area elevated as much as possible during the first 24 to 72 hours. It’s normal to experience swelling after your injury which is often worse at the end of the day.Įlevation reduces swelling, which in turn relieves pain and speeds up your healing.
